| John Rich is the product of a successful family background in the field of commerce. His father, Joseph W. Rich, Sr. founded the Rich Sign Company in 1925, and the J.W. Rich Investment Co. in 1940.
John assumed control of both companies in 1963.
In 1975, John sold the sign business to Heath Sign Company. Using the strength of the investment company, John and Joseph Rich formed a partnership, Rich Development Company. John continued to develop and invest in commercial shopping centers, building a successful business and a rapidly growing reputation for honesty and performance.
