Joseph Rich – General Partner

Born and raised in San Pedro, Joseph Rich sits on the board of directors of several community organizations and continues to practice the family work ethics of sincerity and reliability. Committed to these principles of performance and personal integrity that helped build the business, he has aggressively grown Rich Development Company’s asset base ten-fold.  Joseph studied at the University of Southern California and is responsible for overseeing all areas of the company’s operations including land acquisitions, financial analysis, leasing, marketing and property management.

Tab Johnson – Partner

With a degree in Architectural Design, Tab has been in real estate development since 1977. Prior to joining Rich Development in 1984, Tab was Director of Construction/Design for Pioneer Chicken Restaurants, V.P. of Construction for a retail development company based in Newport Beach, and a Real Estate Manager for a national retailer. Tab’s responsibilities include site selection, project design, governmental entitlements and project management. His hands-on knowledge of retailer’s needs, architectural/engineering requirements, and city approval processes is invaluable when it comes to completing projects on time and on budget.

Kathy Fishkin – Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President

Kathy holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Marketing and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.  Her accounting experience reveals more than 30 years’ experience with job titles ranging from CPA at Ernst & Young, Vice President positions at former real estate firms of August Financial and Southmark Corporation, and Lecturer at CSULB and USC.  Kathy joined Rich Development Company in 1999.   She is responsible for the administration, accounting and income tax transactions related to the various entities including S corporations, LLC’s, partnerships, and individuals.  Among her professional memberships, Kathy is currently the Treasurer of the Arts Council of Long Beach, Member/Director, Long Beach City College Foundation and member of the 1997 class of Leadership Long Beach.

Casey Abe – Director of Leasing and Property Management

Casey has over 20 years of real estate experience.  Prior to joining Rich Development, he served as Director of Leasing and Asset Management for CommPros, Inc., a Newport Beach shopping center owner and manager of twenty-five (25) assets with approximately 2.5M sf of gla.  Prior to joining CommPros, Inc. he served as an Acquisitions Analyst and Asset Manager for Center Trust, a Manhattan Beach Retail REIT.  Casey graduated from the University of Southern California and has a BS degree in Business with a concentration in Real Estate.

Bart Hollander – Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Development

Bart Hollander has more than 26 years of retail real estate experience.  Prior to joining Rich Development in 2012, he held real estate executive positions with major retailers in Southern California, focusing on market analysis and development for Vons Companies in Southern California and Las Vegas and spearheading development of Lowe’s Home Improvements stores on the West Coast.  He has developed more than 50 retail projects in Southern California, Nevada, Utah and Alaska.  Bart’s duties at Rich Development include targeting and sourcing sites for acquisition, lease negotiations, tenant/broker relationships and assisting in the entitlement and development process.  Bart has a BA in Marketing from Cal State Fullerton and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Greg Vena – Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Development

Greg has been a leader in real estate development industry for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Rich Development Enterprises in 2008, He served as Chairman and Director of Northwest Atlantic, the real estate company that leads all of the real estate activities for Costco Wholesale Corp. Prior to that, Greg served as a real estate executive with Rite Aid Corporation and PepsiCo. He is currently charged with sourcing retail development and acquisition opportunities in the Western U.S. while developing and maintaining relationships with tenants, property owners, brokers and government personnel. He is responsible for structuring and negotiating land sales, joint ventures, leases, entitlements and financial analysis for retail development projects of varying scope and size. Greg holds a B.A., Economics from UCLA and an MBA in Finance & Real Estate from The Anderson School at UCLA. He is a licensed real estate Broker in the State of California.

Katie Danzig – Controller

Katie joined the Rich Development team in 2018 and is committed to the company’s principles of integrity, trust and performance.  She holds a Masters in Business Taxation from USC, a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from CSUF, and is a California Certified Public Accountant.  After graduating from CSUF in 2007, Katie started her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and has spent the last 10 years assisting with tax matters at Fortune 500 companies.  At Rich Development, Katie assists with the accounting and tax functions for the various entities.
